Published in ‘I Will Fight for You: A Charity Anthology for the Fight Against Cancer’. All profits from this anthology will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The story is about a man dying of cancer in a dingy hospital, who has lost all hope. I wrote it after I heard the news that my favorite uncle’s cancer had returned. While this is a piece of fiction, my uncle’s situation obviously inspired me as I imagined how depressing and scary it would be returning to hospital after hearing news like that. It’s not an uplifting story, but like my editor says, “Unfortunately, not every fight has a happy outcome, especially when it comes to cancer”. Available at Amazon.
